Care and Understanding

We care for our clients and their families and we treat them with the utmost respect. We are aware of their struggles and needs related to the Developmental Disabilities. We also respect and encourage collaboration with all professionals working and serving our clients. We adhere to the most ethical standards of practice from the field of behavior analysis.

Parent and Family Involvement

MHCDI/Autism Integrative Therapies is a family oriented agency. Family participation and involvement is a major element of our successful services. Parents are part of our treatment team. We strongly believe that the help and success for the child can be provided only with parents’ and families’ consistent and direct involvement in autism therapies and education.

Support Groups

These groups provide a safe place to share personal experiences, challenges, and joy. Support groups increase the social support for parents, enhance coping strategies for parenting children with autism, and enable parents to experience a sense of connection and empowerment.

Cultural Sensitivity

We provide culturally sensitive therapies and psychoeducation for families. Sensitivity is an important issue for the diverse population that exists in Los Angeles. It is addressed through the parent and family psychoeducation groups, individualization of curriculum, staff training, and education.
